Bioriginal, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, has been granted ISO 22000 certification, which is a new international Food Safety Management System Standard that integrates the quality requirements set out in ISO 9001 with the food safety obligations of HACCP. It is a more encompassing standard, which bridges the gaps between quality and food safety regulations, allowing companies to apply a logical integration of these two systems.
